  Having stayed in many great places in Bowness and Windermere, since my Mum and Dad retired there in 1995, like Miller Howe, 21 The Lakes and many more, it was an absolute pleasure to spend some down time in Downhouse Lakes recently. The location is simply perfect, overlooking the Lake.The look and feel of Domehouse is superb and the welcome outstanding. It's just a short downhill walk to Bowness and all the bars and restaurants , but, without doubt, the thing that stands out most of all is the value for money. It's the new favourite, and a revisit is already on the cards.
